Joseph Mrak III - President & CEO

Joseph Mrak is a widely recognized figure in the fast growing wealth servicing industry. His particular expertise is in unified managed accounts and overlay solutions. He was a founder of Placemark Investments, the pioneer in overlay management and standard bearer in delivering highly customized separate account solutions to financial professionals and their clients.

Mr. Mrak also worked at CheckFree Investment Services where he headed up product strategy and development for CheckFree APL, Möbius, GIM and CALIPER. In that role, Mr. Mrak worked with over 350 of CheckFree’s clients to develop solutions in support of separately managed accounts, institutional and retail high net worth programs. Most recently, he was general manager of BISYS WealthSolutions, now owned by Citigroup, a business providing best-in-breed outsourced solutions to separate account managers and sponsors, registered investment advisors and institutional money managers.

Mr. Mrak is an established authority in numerous facets of separately managed accounts including multiple strategy portfolio (MSP)/unified managed account (UMA) program design and development, technology, best practices in business processes, and front-, middle- and back-office operations. Mr. Mrak also holds significant experience with institutional money management products and technology and has worked for top consulting firms including A.T. Kearney and Ernst & Young LLP as a strategy consultant in financial services. Mr. Mrak received a BS from Marquette University and a MBA from the University of Texas, Austin McCombs School of Business.

Michael Winkel - President (FDx Advisors)

Michael Winkel was most recently president of SunGard Advisor Technologies (SAT), a registered investment advisor acquired by FolioDynamix in 2008 and renamed FDx Advisors. Mr. Winkel’s primary career focus is on the use of technology applications in the delivery of investment management solutions.

During his role at SAT, Mr. Winkel created an advisor desktop with access to multiple investment solutions. Prior to SAT, Mr. Winkel was chief investment officer of SunGard Wealth Management Services. While in that capacity, Mr. Winkel developed the first third-party managed account platform for banks seeking the in-sourcing of unified managed account (UMA)/overlay management. He had a long career with Alerus Financial, first serving as a portfolio manager then rising to chief investment officer and later chief operating officer. Among his many accomplishments at Alerus, Mr. Winkel created the first commercial application of a tool to automate the portfolio management function in bank trust departments. Mr. Winkel has a JD from the University of North Dakota, a MBA in operations management from the University of Minnesota and a CFA designation.

Mark Davis - Chief Technology Officer

Mark is responsible for all aspects of technology and architecture for the firm. Mark has focused the last 20 years providing technology solutions to the industry. His primary responsibilities are to provide expertise in the development of strategic corporate technology initiatives in time critical environments while constraining or reducing costs. Before joining FolioDynamix Mark worked independently for various financial institutions such as Goldman Sachs and UBS, Prudential and Morgan Stanley, where he provided system architecture and design for their mission critical applications. Most recently concentrating on the managed assets business and the development of multi-strategy portfolios (MSP) where he provides product advice, technology architecture and operational workflow. Prior to this Mark worked principally as a software architect integrating and developing performance measurement, portfolio modeling and client data delivery systems. Other systems related projects include the project management of Brinson’s Institutional money manager portal and the management/implementation of the City of New York’s Scoff Tow system which is IBM’s largest E-business engagement. Mark holds a BS in Computer Science from Purdue University.

Ronald E. Madey - Chief Investment Officer (FDx Advisors)

Ronald Madey is responsible for providing research and investment solutions to FDx Advisors, the renamed SunGard Advisor Technologies business acquired by FolioDynamix in 2008. Before joining SunGard, Mr. Madey was vice president, National Director of Investments at Lincoln Financial Advisors/Sagemark Consulting. While there, he established a scalable, institutional quality investment process and designed sophisticated wealth management technologies utilizing Monte Carlo-based investment planning tools to serve the high net worth marketplace. Prior to joining Lincoln, Mr. Madey was National Director of Asset Consulting Services at Towers Perrin, where he was responsible for overseeing the firm’s asset consulting, asset allocation modeling and investment manager research units. Earlier, Mr. Madey held senior positions in portfolio management, research and proprietary trading with DuPont Capital Management, a subsidiary of E. I. du Pont de Nemours & Company, as well as at Bridgewater Associates and Credit Lyonnais Securities.

During his almost 25 years in investment management, consulting and financial services, Mr. Madey has applied risk-controlled investment strategies to areas ranging from fixed income portfolio management and multi-manager portfolio construction, to asset allocation and asset-liability management. He has spoken publicly on wealth management, investment strategy, risk management and liability driven investing at conferences for the American Bankers Association, the Money Management Institute, the CFA Institute, the Institutional Investor Institute and the Investment Management Institute. Mr. Madey is also a co-author of a Journal of Portfolio Management article on the "Advantages of Multiperiod Portfolio Models."

Mr. Madey holds a bachelor of business administration, cum laude, in finance and real estate, and a MBA, with a focus on planning and strategy, from Kent State University. He has a CFA and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia.

Aaron Schumm - Senior Vice President, Product

At FolioDynamix, Aaron Schumm is responsible for product development of the FDx wealth servicing platform. Prior to FolioDynamix, Mr. Schumm was a vice president at Citigroup where he worked on the product team that led the Asset Manager Solutions (AMS) global strategy efforts. Earlier, Mr. Schumm was head of product within the WealthSolutions group at BISYS, later acquired by Citigroup. In that role, he developed a best-in-class platform and outsourced solutions for separate account managers, institutional money managers, sponsors and registered investment advisors. Before joining BISYS, Mr. Schumm was product manager at CheckFree Investment Services now owned by Fiserv. At CheckFree, he led a team to design and implement enhancements to the firm’s multiple strategy portfolio (MSP)/unified managed account (UMA) products. Mr. Schumm worked with over 50 client firms to augment the MSP/UMA offering, creating a robust account management tool for the industry’s fastest growing segment.

Mr. Schumm, through his business development and marketing strategy role at Electra Information Systems, has worked with investment managers, hedge funds and broker/dealers in automating back-office operations in the areas of trade communications, reconciliation and data collection. Having worked at the Northern Trust Company, Mr. Schumm also has experience in the investment management performance and pension plan analysis fields. Mr. Schumm received a BS from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and a MBA from Duke University, The Fuqua School of Business.

Christopher Ollendike - Senior Vice President, Business Development

Christopher Ollendike is responsible for sales, customer relations and business partner development on behalf of FolioDynamix. Previously, Mr. Ollendike was vice president of business development for the WealthSolutions Group at BISYS, a leading outsourcing vendor of separately managed account solutions for financial institutions and asset managers, and later acquired by Citigroup in 2007.

Mr. Ollendike has extensive experience and accomplishments selling into the financial services sector. Before his role at BISYS, Mr. Ollendike was managing director of sales at NorthStar International, a leading provider of wealth management software to financial services institutions. At Integrated Decisions Systems, acquired by CheckFree in 2005, Mr. Ollendike headed sales of the IDS portfolio accounting system used by financial services firms and institutional managers. Early in his career, he worked in a sales division at Thomson Financial. Mr. Ollendike has a BA in management from Hartwick College.

Jonelle Stenson – Chief Financial Officer

Jonelle Stenson handles all aspects of financial management including accounting, financial analysis and budgeting; she also develops financial system requirements on behalf of FolioDynamix. Previously, Ms. Stenson spent eight years as audit manager with Coopers & Lybrand and as controller of Nimbus Medical, Inc., an innovative medical research and development corporation. A CPA, Ms. Stenson is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. She holds a BS in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from California State University at Sacramento.

Christine Rogers - SVP, Client Operations

Christine Rogers is responsible for the daily operational support and client service for the FDx platform. Christine’s has over 20 years investment related experience having held positions within Neuberger Berman, Shearson Lehman Brothers, and Citigroup/BISYS. Christine is a graduate of St. John’s University, where she holds a BS in Management/Economic and an MBA in Finance. She has been a member of the MMI Technology and Operations Committee and has been a subcommittee participant and co-chair of focused activities surrounding the development of industry standards and performance measurement.
