Position Overview
FolioDynamix is seeking an experienced business analyst who has significant knowledge of financial technology trade communication interfaces. The candidate will own and manage the interface setup, implementation, and production troubleshooting process between FolioDynamix and third-party vendors, custodians and executing brokers. The candidate will also act as the first point of contact for clients facing trading and system issues. This person will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the relationships between FDx and our required interface connections, as well as any technological pieces that need to be complete in order to establish and maintain the connections. The candidate will work closely with the client implementations team. The candidate will setup, test, document, and maintain the interfaces through the life of the connection.
Requirements: The candidate must obtain ALL of the listed requirements.
- Deep knowledge of FIX trade communication protocol.
- Vast experience with mutual fund, option, equity, and short trading.
- Comfortable analyzing, testing and documenting procedures for all trade types.
- Creating business and technical trading requirements.
- Work with FIX vendors on setting up, testing, and monitoring all FIX trade communications, including the FDx FIX partner, STN, and any other FIX “hubs”.
- Manage all custodial and partner vendor relationships around all file transfers and connectivity.
- Advanced PERL scripting experience for scripting all nightly batch file downloads.
- Ability to normalize data files to a specified format.
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot all data feeds, including security pricing, and security descriptive data, custodial connections, trade interfaces (outbound and inbound).
- Work with new custodial relationships to successfully attain FIX certification.
- Define requirement, implement and maintain all end-of-day file communications to clearing brokers and custodians, including trade orders, trade allocations, trade confirmations/affirmations.
- Deep knowledge of shell scripting including, but not limited to Perl.
- Development and implementation of test plans /scenarios to ensure successful rollout and delivery.
- Support execution of post-implementation to ensure a quality product was delivered.
- Understanding of Equity, Mutual Fund and Fixed Income Trading.
- Monitoring of client trading interfaces daily, including, but not limited to Electronic Trading, SFTP and NDM.
- Ensure that trades are executed and confirmed in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Adhere to change management practices, following and coordinating functionality release schedules.
- Working closely with QA and Development teams for bug tracking and resolutions.
- Participating in application releases, from development, testing and deployment.

The Quality Assurance analysts will be responsible for activities including the development and execution of software and data conversion test plans, scripts, and scenarios; regression testing; evaluation of test results and software performance; monitoring of any data conversion efforts for data quality; identification of technical, functional, and data conversion defects; and user acceptance testing. The candidate will be focused on testing and implementing proposal generation programs for FolioDynamix clients. This position will be based in Sacramento, CA.
Job Description:
The candidate must be able to work with internal teams and external clients on writing business requirements, use cases, test scripts and QA analysis, including regression testing. The candidate will work with other QA resources, guiding the testing scripts, tracking bugs, and conducting validation testing. The candidate will also update and maintain the financial software user manual that is distributed to clients.
Requirements
The candidate will be able to be a self-starter and work with little supervision. S/he needs to have the capability to perform without constant direction from his/her supervisor. However the candidate must be able to work independently or with a team, on both the product and development side of the firm.

Job Description:
We are looking to fill a new position that is focused primarily on software development for fee and commission-based retail advisory brokerage account management. The analyst will be part of the product development team, working directly with external clients and the internal development team to design business and functional specifications, focused on the retail side of the financial software industry. The candidate must have a thorough understanding of proposal generation, modeling, trading, rebalancing, performance reporting, portfolio accounting, and financial advisor-based reporting for these account types. The candidate will write the business and functional requirements for these account types in an effort to build out the FDx platform modules with additional functionality. The candidate will present the requirements to the development team, and see through the functionality improvements, as well as conduct the initial QA verification that the development was built to spec.
The candidate must be able to work with internal teams and external clients on writing functional requirements.

Professional Experience Requirements:
- Must have at least 4 years experience with commission and fee-based financial software systems.
- Direct experience or extensive understanding of the fee-based financial advisory industry.
- Deep understanding of retail, model and non-model programs, including:
- Rep as Investment Manager, Mutual Fund Wrap, Rep as Advisor, and Retail Brokerage account types.
- Thorough knowledge of broker/advisor workflows for discretionary and non-discretionary account management.
- Must be able to define and thoroughly understand: business requirements, solutions, and functionality definition.
- Ability to write functional requirements for performance calculations and trading practices for each account and security type listed above.
- Have thorough knowledge and prior history of working with options trading and reporting, fixed income trading and reporting, as well as short trading and margin calculations.
- Experience with MS VISIO.
